Aidan Kim

Community Engagement & Communication Associate

Aidan Kim (he/him) is a communications and non-profit specialist who brings over five years of international experience in program management, digital campaign strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Aidan is experienced in supporting fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor and volunteer engagement, and developing resources that drive program participation. He is adept at mobilizing teams, designing scalable processes, and designing culturally sensitive content that resonates with diverse audiences. Passionate about advancing equitable access to education, strengthening local democracy, and youth empowerment, Aidan has built a career centered around mission-driven non profit work that uplifts communities and bridges civic information gaps. 

Prior to joining the Civic Federation, Aidan worked for impactful non-profit organizations like City Bureau, AFS USA, and the Chicago Children's Museum. After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in Film, Television, and Radio, Aidan taught English abroad for three years in Madrid, Spain and Seoul, South Korea where his passion for education and youth programming was cemented. In his free time, Aidan coaches elementary school basketball and volleyball, enjoys expanding his Letterboxd catalog of films, listening to music from around the world, and riding his bike along the lakefront trail.
