The Civic Federation would like to take a moment to thank our members, friends, community, government officials and local media outlets for the outpouring of support we have received since the passing of our president, Laurence Msall. It has been a comfort and joy to hear the stories of your memories of Laurence as well as your thoughtful reflections on his incomparable legacy in state and local public policy.
We would also like to thank the Cook County Board of Commissioners for their February 9 resolution honoring Laurence, as well as the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District for their February 16 resolution honoring him, and the Chicago City Council for their upcoming resolution in his honor.
With Laurence's tenacious spirit in mind, we are rolling up our sleeves and continuing our work as ever. Now on deck: the State of Illinois FY2024 budget proposal. Stay tuned.
