This article describing alternative revenue proposals to Mayor Daley's proposed 15% property tax increase cited the Civic Federation's opposition to the size of the tax hike. Civic Federation President Laurence Msall was also quoted saying that the fact that city officials are open to reducing expenditures is a step in the right direction.
