Senior Research Associate

Seema Murali joined the Civic Federation as a Senior Research Associate in 2010. Prior to joining, Seema earned her Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California. In addition to studying public finance and policy, she was interested in sustainable architecture and urban planning. While attending USC, she interned at the Office of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, where she worked on a range of policy issues from climate change to labor law.

Before pursuing her MPA, Seema worked as a Client Accounting Analyst at Chicago's Sidley Austin LLP and as a legal clerk at the Marmon Group. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan. Seema is excited to return to Chicago, especially to be closer to her beloved Michigan Wolverines.
